How can PayID be used?

Dynamic
Single Payment PayID

Transaction specific PayID that is automatically deregistered when the payment terms have been met or the set expiry term has been reached.

Use Cases:
  • one-off point-of-sale purchases
  • one-off invoices for goods & services

 

 


 

 

Static Recycled
Single Payment PayID

Customer or account specific PayID that is automatically deregistered when the set amount has been paid or the set expiry term has been reached.

The same PayID can be re-registered after payment terms have been met and PayID deregistered.

Use Case:
  • regular recurring bills or invoices

Static Always Open
Multi Payment PayID

Customer or Account specific PayID that is left open and registered to receive multiple payments until such time that the merchant triggers a deregistration of the PayID.

Use Case:

  • wallet or account top-ups

 

How do I pay with PayID?

Selected banks and financial institutions use PayID. You can find an institution and view a list of banks with instructions on how to pay with PayID below.
